Abstract: Social Learning Spaces (SLR) by their very nature have to be dynamic and continuously change and adapt to meet the students’ needs. Various strategic questions need answering as universities seek to make sure students’ expectations are being met. At Loughborough University in the UK, the Library created a large social learning space in 2004. The key questions it has faced in developing its SLR will be identified as well as how the data and evidence has been collected to satisfactorily answer these questions.
