Teacher Candidates Perception of Acquiring TPACK in the Digital Age Through an Innovative Educational Technology Masters Program

Abstract: The TPACK model of technology integration ensures successful teaching and student learning. Teacher candidates perceptions of developing TPACK knowledge is explored in this chapter using a learning model incorporating hybrid learning delivery, sequential course design, and a student driven approach to teaching and learning. Each of these will be explored in greater detail and research will be discussed about implementation for TPACK teacher development. Teacher candidate benchmark assignments and rubrics, and candidate surveys will evidence teacher’s TPACK knowledge and application as it transforms their teaching experiences. Examples of successful strategies for student driven approach to teaching and learning will be shared.
