Using Mobile Learning Devices in a Rural Social Studies Classroom

Abstract: Teachers from a rural school district have been working to develop successful lessons for use with mobile learning devices. These teachers will present context for their mobile learning initiative with special focus on how they have overcome obstacles common to rural school districts. They will then demonstrate a lesson they have taught, providing an opportunity for conference attendees to participate in an example lesson using the mobile devices available to the students.
