Abstract: This paper proposes a study that will assess preservice K-12 teacher concerns regarding teaching online. Data will be analyzed by summarizing the Stages of Concern Questionnaire results and developing a profile based on the average scores for each stage of the individuals in a group. Mean scores will be converted to percentiles and plotted following the procedures outlined by George, Hall, and Stiegelbauer (2006). Findings will help develop curricular interventions that address preservice teachers’ concerns that can be used in teacher education programs before proceeding with skills training that may be needed by new teachers in the online environment.
