Virtual Brief Paper
ID: 44774
Abstract: This paper discusses the relational patterns of interactions from a network perspective in a Facebook group created to discuss Green Energy Manufacturing. This study uses social network analysis to analyze and interpret the interaction patterns that developed in the Facebook group. Computer-mediated communication provided the opportunity for students to connect in the Facebook group with other Engineering Technology undergraduate students despite geographic location. This group allowed the students to collaborate with their peers and engage in problem-solving activity and inquiry.
