Abstract: This best practices session provides an overview of how a mobile-driven tool, EdModo (https://www.edmodo.com) can be used to provide "Just-in-Time Teaching" (JiTT) for teacher education students in a large online-only course. The presenters incorporated the use of Just-in-Time or Immediate Response Learning through microblogging experiences via EdModo with 63 preservice teachers in an online elementary literacy methods course in the United States. Techniques can be used across a wide variety of teaching contexts including online, face-to-face, and blended learning. EdModo, which is available via both desktop and mobile formats, is widely used in K-12 settings and sometimes in Higher Education. It is also an ideal tool to be used in Teacher Education courses as students can consider using it in their own K-12 future teaching.
