Abstract: Expand the walls of your classroom with digital learning portfolios! Students and teachers of all levels can create digital learning portfolios to share their work for fun with family and friends, or professionally with future leaders for various interviews and applications. The possibilities are endless! In this session, participants will build an online learning portfolio using Google Sites. This workshop is appropriate for all levels of technology learners. Participants have the option to create a digital learning portfolio from a student-developed (grades 6-12+) or a teacher-developed (K-5) perspective. Because each portfolio is entirely customizable, it is a one-stop-shop for everyone! You can add videos, documents, charts, links, and more all with just a few quick clicks. Step-by-step instructions guide participants through each step of the process, as well as a resource site with additional assistive videos and tutorials. By the end of this session, participants will be able to walk away with a model site and the tools needed to implement a digital learning portfolio within their own classrooms. With Google Sites, students have the opportunity to share the fruits of their labor and individual creativity with whom they chose, anywhere in the world. From elementary, middle, secondary, to higher education, learn to equip your students with a technology portfolio to highlight the fantastic products they are producing every day!
