ID: 52717
Abstract: Running records is an effective reading assessment for reading teachers to monitor reading progress of students and to diagnose reading needs in a variety of instructional settings across grade levels. An innovative app is being developed to analyze reading behaviors and miscue patterns in digital running records. This study has significant implications in teacher education as it can assist teachers to accurately identify teaching and tutoring focus as well as make decisions on improving the instruction in teaching plans to address areas in need of each individual student.
