Abstract: This virtual brief paper explores a foundation from the literature and illustrates a journey for implanting a STEM ecosystem at a rural, Midwestern, parochial school partnering with a University teacher preparation program. Particular emphasis is on cross-disciplinary Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STREAM) integrtion. This model also explores goals, best practices and approaches for establishing a STEM culture, and more. The program brings together a variety of best practices from the literature and pairs it with community stakeholders (students, teachers, parents, administrators, university faculty, teacher candidates, and area businesses/engineers). This paper is a work-in-progress that will be part of a potential larger study.
