Abstract: Millions of instructors and students were forced to take their teaching and learning into remote learning because of COVID-19 pandemic. Most of them did not choose and many of them were not familiar with this type of teaching or learning. Therefore, this sudden change has put tremendous pressure on teachers to respond quickly to the transition from face-to-face teaching styles to some form of virtual education. This research will share the approach and tools as well as the strategy and conclusions formed from scraping REDDIT r/Professor and analyzing the titles and comments made about Zoom from the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our objective is to help assess needs and identify digital learning tool enhancements to help faculty become more effective at instruction as learning has shifted to online.
