Abstract: Several NASA technology-based initiatives well-positioned to assist in infusing scientific literacy and STEM career interest into preservice and inservice teacher education programs are described in this paper. Example activities utilizing virtual reality, 3-D printing, mobile sensors and augmented reality are introduced as innovative and available tools that typically incorporate problem-based learning, that are ready to be introduced to preservice teachers. This paper accompanies a panel presentation focused on prospects for infusing awareness and access into teacher preparation programs.
