Abstract: This panel will discuss designing and implementing a mobile makerspace to increase educational equity and inclusion. In recent years, the concentration of makerspaces in communities of privilege and wealth has prompted the creation of mobile makerspaces to share the power of making in underserved communities (Jin, 2020; MooreField Lang, 2015). Mobilizing a makerspace also provides unique opportunities to serve those in hospitals, those with disabilities, Indian reservations, or even those quarantined during a global pandemic (Krishnan, 2015; Martin, 2018).
