Abstract: Students from all backgrounds and cultures have been taking online classes due to the convenience and flexibility this mode of delivery affords many students, especially students who are considered non-traditional students. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has also forced students and faculty alike from all over the world to engage in online learning whether or not they were prepared for the online learning environment. This proposed roundtable discussion will address readiness for online learning based on a cultural perspective and also discuss the results of a study that will highlight the reported needs of culturally diverse adult learners in online learning environments. The author welcome a discussion on this topic and to share the results of the findings of this study.
