Abstract: This Explanatory Sequential Mixed Methods study examines how Library Media Specialists responded to the 2020 COVID 19 emergency online teaching situation by creating virtual maker-centered learning opportunities for their students. Information was examined regarding an emergency response that looked to provide continued access to instruction, maker materials, and equipment when schools and school libraries shut down. The information collected in this study may inform practice for virtual maker-centered learning in the probable event that future school and community closures happen.
