Abstract: Inservice professional development seems to be moving away from 1 off and 1 size fits all workshops or conferences. Teachers favour more interactive and coaching approaches, especially when looking at new technologies. When designing for PD, teachers seek personalized, research-based professional learning with and from practising teachers in the same or similar contexts. This panel will explore other options for PD and new ways of modelling effective teaching practices with technology. In particular, it questions how we can design for sustainable buy-in, ongoing impact, the role of context or diverse communities, and the role of reflection.
