Biography
I have enjoyed over 10 years of experience as an instructor and instructional designer in both traditional and online formats in higher education. I hold a Master's degree in Adult & Higher Education and am currently a PhD candidate and full-time instructor in Learning Technologies at the University of Minnesota where I teach courses on Technology Literacy & Ethics, Technology Integration, Distance Education, and Online Teaching & Learning. My current research interests include online and distance learning and the instructional design and facilitation of highly-engaging online learning experiences. I have gained national recognition for my work preparing adult educators and post-secondary faculty for online and distance teaching and have conducted numerous professional development workshops related to online instruction and instructional design.
