Biography
Susan R. Poyo, recipient of the 2016 iNACOL Research Award for Innovation in Teaching and Learning, has been in the profession for over 25 years. Her experiences extend from K-12 to Higher Education and Adult Education. Currently an Assistant Professor at Franciscan University of Steubenville, her pre-service teachers are a constant source of encouragement and inspiration for her research, presenting both nationally and internationally on TPACK, Curriculum Design and Assessment, and Online Learning. Susan earned her doctorate in Instructional Technology from Duquesne University. Preparing teachers to educate the 21st century learner is her passion, engaging her students in conversation, inquiry and practical application of effective integration of technology in planning and assessment for learning.
