Biography
Kavita Rao is an associate professor in the Department of Special Education of the College of Education at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. Her research agenda includes technology for children with disabilities, online learning for non-traditional students, the use of universal design frameworks to create inclusive learning environments, and technology-related educational strategies for English language learners and immigrant students. Kavita teaches undergraduate and graduate level courses on assistive and educational technologies and courses on instructional strategies in the special education department. She is also involved in the clinical supervision of K-12
