Poster/Demo
ID: 9478
Abstract: This paper discusses the demonstration of an Online, Interactive Tutorial on Oscillations, a topic, which is part of the undergraduate lower-division curriculum for Engineering, Physics and Chemistry majors. The tutorial has a dynamic graphical simulation of oscillations of one and two bodies to enable the student to get a clear understanding. Also included is an interactive component in which the student can input values of the variables and study the response of the system on the screen, and one in which the system asks questions to be answered by the student. The answers are checked by the system, providing immediate feedback to the student, and guiding him to a reference if he makes a mistake.
