Abstract: "Renga" means linking images. Through the activity of "Renga", pupils can receive the images of pictures which their friends drew, and make pictures by linking their own images with them on the Internet. In this "School Renga Project", we attempt to make pupils acquire the abilities which are thought to be essential in the art class. We also aim that pupils can taste the delights of involving activities of collaborative creation with various people, which means expanding the field of creation that pupils have. It is significant to encourage pupils self-expression or take pleasure in interchanging images with others. This pilot study shows differences between the expression by using computers and the expression by using other tools, which are characteristics of the expression using digital equipment. In addition, we can confirm the validness of drawing and manual arts class with computers or other digital equipment, and share these information with teachers who participate this project.
