Abstract: The World Wide Web is an open forum for people of all stripes, with varying and alternate abilities. The Web Accessibility Initiative of the World Wide Web Consortium is based on this spirit of openness and inclusiveness. This initiative provides a broad framework for web content developers, web tool authors and professionals in related fields to develop web sites that can be accessed by people with visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.
