Share Paper: Distributing Content Through Sequential Learning Modules in On-Line Computer Application Courses

Abstract: When designing on-line computer application courses, instructors must consider how to deliver a wide variety of content in a manner that is clear to students. If content is distributed in a haphazard fashion, students can be confused, frustrated, and even antagonistic toward the instructor. The end result could cause a variety of negative consequences, including student failure, withdrawal, and student complaints. Sequential learning modules can be an effective method to alleviate some of the distribution problems in an on-line computer application course.
