Developing Emotional Presence Scale for Measuring Students¡¯ Involvement during e-Learning process

Abstract: Emotion is considered to be a crucial factor in e-Learning. However, research on emotional presence is in its early stage. In addition, there has been no measurement scale of emotional presence. We reviewed previous research and measurement tools of emotional presence. The emerged dimensions of emotional presence were validated with 418 undergraduate students. Perception, expression and management of emotion were verified as three major constructs. This study is in progress to continuously improve construct validity and reliability.
