Abstract: In education, technology offers opportunity and challenge to provide distinctive learning experiences. This session will prove this point by discussing the methods used in implementing a hybrid Podcast Music Techniques course. Because this course is distributed online to one cohort of students and attended face-to-face by a separate cohort, the careful design and employ of teaching strategies is crucial to offering meaningful and collaborative learning experiences amongst all students. The goal, then, is how to effectively teach students at both a distance and face-to-face simultaneously. Therefore, this session will focus on the teaching strategies used to that end and the role of highly integrated podcasting in the Podcast Music Techniques course.
