Abstract: In this study, we developed a classroom observation tool: Scene-Commentary Device (SCD). SCD has a unique function like “visual Post-it notes” in a computer. SCD support not only observing practices but also sharing episodes in classroom studies between observers and teachers. SCD is a small and lightweight mobile computer. We can move around carrying with SCD to observe various areas inside and outside of the classrooms. This application has two modes; the camera mode and the review/edit mode.
