A Mentorship Program to Support Faculty Transforming Traditional Courses to Online Courses
Abstract: Faculty are often responsible for transforming traditional courses to online courses through ill-define, haphazard processes with little institutional support. A major public U.S. university, however, has designed and fully implemented a faculty mentorship program to facilitate this process. Partnering certified online faculty with traditional faculty in a one-on-one collaborative relationship for an entire academic has delivered astonishing results. This successful mentorship program will be thoroughly described and specific suggestions for replicating it will be provided by the presenters.
