Hiding Something from the Learner? A Framework for Designing Computer Simulation Interfaces
Thursday, June 25 1:30 PM-2:30 PM
The paper draws from fidelity theories to present a framework for classifying computer simulation interfaces. The need for a framework from which to consider representation led to an overview of the existing theories on fidelity and the construction of a suitable theoretical model. A series of interviews with educators and designers, whose purpose was to receive feedback from the experts, considered and evaluated the framework and its relevance to the design and successful use of computer simulations.
