Podcasts and Videos Produced with the Help of Social Media Tools in the Web-Based Teacher Education Program
Abstract: This paper presents the early stages of a study that investigates how Ning learning environment and social media tools can be applied for guidance letters, feedback on assignments, and orientation videos and podcasts in teacher education. We have aimed to create pedagogical models and practices and develop teacher training according the National Plan for Educational Use of ICT (Information Communication Technology). The context of the study is provided by The HAAGA-HELIA School of Vocational Teacher Education (HH SoVTE) program and a group of teacher students studying their certificate in vocational teacher education. A design science approach is used in this study.
