Abstract: This study will share the results of an ongoing longitudinal social network analysis employed to gain an understanding of the characteristics and dynamics of a successful hybrid graduate community of practice in existence since 2001. The program has attained very high rates of retention (93%)and completion (85%)and alumni of the program have gone on to find success in the field of educational technology. This social network analysis will show the development of the community over a 10-year period, the structure of the community, the degree and quality of relationships between members of the community and will attempt to determine if certain types of personalities occupy particular places in online social networks.
