Distance Education and High school: Teaching philosophy in b-learning situations at a private school in Brazil
Abstract: This paper is a report about an experience on distance education in high school at a private school in Brazil. We developed the contents of philosophy subject, which is a one class per week in the curriculum. Counting with a federal law in Brazil that allows 20% of curriculum in high school to be teaching in distance education, we used moddle platform to elaborate interactive activities on internet for the students. The school chooses to have one class per month in the classroom, and the other three on the web with different activities, such as forums, web conferences, chats, texts, using the available tools in the platform. Beginning in 2010, this year the project is facing new development, indicating challenge about student participation with collaborative perspective and interaction.
