Abstract: Using a research based approach anchored in the best practices from learning technologies as well as community of practice we are building a new type of etext that will allow both teacher to student, student to student collaboration and discussion. This new eText will not only incorporate relevant text, animations, graphics, and videos but will also incorporate collaborative activities to foster a deep learning environment. Changes to modern pedagogy for text, classroom, homework, group work etc. will be discussed.
