Abstract: Within a traditional classroom, teachers easily discover their students in terms of knowledge, motivation or learning style, and can further exploit this knowledge to adapt or optimize their instructions. This task becomes nearly impossible in computer-mediated learning systems, since the observation and evaluation of a learning session are based on the analysis of a large amount of attention metadata.
