Abstract: This session focuses on the effective use of mobile devices for learning science in the elementary classroom. Specifically, the session will discuss the use of iPads to support preservice elementary science teachers understanding of science content and pedagogical content knowledge for teaching science. We will discuss iPad apps that were both teacher required and student initiated and how those apps were viewed and used in the elementary science methods course.
