Abstract: This paper is a work in process that portrays two experiences on teaching Digital Media Foundations to a group of university professors at the University of Costa Rica and a master program seminar for Digital Media students at the University of Bremen in Germany. While reflecting these cases and their pedagogical context, the reader will find clues in connection with the Communities of Practice theory. How to deal with diversity of backgrounds when confronting Digital Media? How to bridge sectors and pluralities in our different educational realities?
