Abstract: This paper discusses the benefits of blogging and the usefulness of it as a tool for learning and promoting reflection in the classroom. It is important for a blog to be flexible in the use and connectivity to others. Reflection of thought should be a constant aspect in a blog so that others can react or just contemplate new thoughts. In this paper a discussion of the aspects of using blogs in a classroom and how it enhances thought and meaningful discussions. Adding to the cognitive connections from one student to another shows a measure of learning and progress in mental development and growth. Adding a blend of online blogging and classroom discussions provides for rich and meaningful topics when confronted face-to-face.
