Abstract: We conducted two studies which required students to complete two course assignments that involved photographic production techniques and the development of a presentation to be submitted for assignment credit. The assigned tasks were identical in each study and only the order of software tool usage requirements was changed for assignment credit. The effects of presentation tool software use on the production of assessment design artifacts developed by students were investigated.
