Abstract: This paper describes the production and use of educational 3D materials. An experimental class in an elementary school was undertaken to examine how to leverage the advantages of stereoscopic 3D images in education. Educational 3D materials used in the study were two kinds of 3D movies for studying the stone chambers and Haniwa (terracotta clay figures) of the Tumulus period. 2D movies with the same content as the 3D movies were also prepared to compare their effects with those of 3D movies.
