Abstract: This paper reports on the investigation and findings of the Echo360 Community Grant research project “Lecturer adoption of EchoSystem through a solution focussed community of practice”. The project implemented an intervention to support the professional practice of lecturers in the use of this web-based lecture technology, and examined the adoption behaviours of a purposive sample of nine lecturers who implemented EchoSystem within their teaching practice. The research found that personal attributes and motivation, as well as appropriate support and available time, influenced the adoption of this technology, and that face to face collegial support was preferred over support available online. These findings have underpinned the restructuring of our existing support model, and may support other organisations in doing so.
