Developing Communication Processes in Emergency Polyclinics with Design Methods
Wednesday, June 25 3:00 PM-5:00 PM
This paper presents information about the MediPro project; one of the aims of this project is to investigate and develop communication processes at the emergency polyclinic in the Lapland Hospital District. This ongoing research at the Lapland Central Hospital started at the beginning of summer 2013 and it has focused on gathering data by using different design and self-documenting tools. This study investigates the professionals working at the emergency department, not the patients. Gathered data consist of interviews, design probe diaries (a.k.a. self-documenting tools) with questions, benchmarking data, observations and a prototyping workshop.
