Abstract: This paper describes the development of an educational game training workshop for helping preservice teachers to acquire educational game knowledge and skills. The study integrates three concepts into the educational game training workshop: Constructionism as the rationale, TPCK as the conceptual framework, and experiential learning as the model. The training model is a 4-stage cycle including stages of Experience (Playing), Review Reflecting)/Conceptualization (Analyzing), Application (Designing), and Evaluation (self-Evaluating). Participants are guided to complete an educational game design document and to produce an educational game prototype. This workshop provides a training model for enhancing preservice teachers’ education game literacy.
