Abstract: The flipped classroom model is an approach to maximizing classroom time by using technology to "flip" the traditional model of teaching. Content in the form of online lectures and presentations is offered outside of class, while hands-on activities and collaborative learning take place in the classroom. With innovative tools for producing online content and interactive lessons, instruction that used to occur in class is now accessed at home. Class becomes the place to work through problems, advance concepts and engage students with creative learning strategies.
