Purpose: To describe the development and implementation of innovative Approaches in Geriatric Nursing subject of Nursing Education. This study also aims to explore bachelor nursing students learning experiences towards innovative approaches based on the designed course/programme. Methods:Innovative strategies were planned and adopted into Geriatric Nursing this subject including: problem-based learning, group discussion, role play, on-line discussion. Informal interviews were applied to gather the views from students and lecturer. Results:Some students and lecturer expressed that innovative approaches into GN promoted interaction, students’ thinking process, and problem-solving skills. Conclusion:Innovative approaches in this research provided better interactions between lecturer and students. Findings from this research are positive from both lecturer and students. It’s suggested nursing course might adopt innovative approaches in nursing course design and application for better education and practice in nursing.
