Abstract: This presentation examines the lessons learned from implementing an academic service learning project using a wiki to foster mentoring opportunities for at-risk students from two educational institutions. Students on freshmen probation at the university mentored down to at-risk students at the high school about making the transition to university life and academics. In a reciprocal relationship, the at-risk high school students in a career preparation class “mentored up” to the university students about employability skills.
