Abstract: The following is a brief discussion of the process by which a state-mandated online training was created, designed, and disseminated to colleges and universities in Kentucky. In the fall of 2013, a standardized online version of Training Part B was designed in Adobe Captivate for approximately 25 colleges and universities in Kentucky. This training was designed by the current author, who acted as a technology consultant with a team of trainers. The training team received full endorsement on this project from Kentucky Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (KACTE), and the prototype training was approved by EPSB. Each college or university in Kentucky may request a unique version of the training to host independently at no cost. Trainings are unique for each college/university because the technology consultant embeds a link to the IHE’s student teaching handbook, and includes an email widget capable of reporting participant data and time spent in training.
