Abstract: Communication in health care is one of the largest challenges of our time. In Brussels, a region that is juridically bilingual, but de facto multilingual, these challenges are even further exacerbated. Iris Hospitals, a network of five public hospitals and eleven public hospital sites in Brussels, therefore offers courses in medical Dutch and English to all health care and administrative professionals in primary care. However, these services are at times underequipped and rush hours come at unexpected times.
