The context of this investigation was conducted at a Mexican university, an educational model followed by the System of Virtual Campus. The epistemological orientation was a constructivist philosophical stance for development of that theory and the research paradigm used was qualitative. The method used was the grounded theory with a systematic design approach reconstructed by Creswell in 2008. Six researchers participated, as experts, into this field of study. The strategy was an analysis and interpretation of interviews, documentation, data and theory construction evaluation. The instruments were an interview guide and a questionnaire. The results were: the systematized theoretical construction of a process; and, the results of evaluations regarding of the theoretical construction by experts.
