Learning in an authentic environment is an inspiring way of learning. It increases learning quality and enables on-the-spot learning. HAMK University of Applied Sciences Bioeconomy has benefited this method in learning to use mobile devices. The MobileSummer School is a cross- and trans-disciplinary learning event that has been arranged annually in the end of May since 2010. The learning event is targeted for teachers and other persons working within education. MobileSummer School provides participants with new ideas on usage of mobile and other new technologies such as 3D environments, Augmented Reality and mobile games. The MobileSummer School is based on an open social communication model.
