Abstract: This study took place in an online course for pre-service teachers and explored how video of a practicing teacher influences the “agency” of pre-service teachers’ understandings of culturally responsive methods and course content. While watching the video of a practicing teacher, pre-service teachers completed a video analysis by applying “tags,” identifying the methods and various course topics being simultaneously enacted. The study then applied the CORDTRA Analysis that provided a visual snapshot of what the observer observed.
