Abstract: Abstract: Teaching strategies for health care professionals have not been re-defined or modified since the passage of Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act. HITECH passed as part of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). Health care workers must demonstrate literacy in information technology for deliverance of patient care under the HITECH ruling. The federal government has required that health care administrators establish meaningful use for electronic health records technology (Devine et al., 2010).
