This paper presents the Social Flow social media signage application developed from earlier Social Stream OS application. Social Flow is for School of Information Sciences, University of Tampere that gathers the latest news and tidbits on what the people of SIS are doing, what has been going on and is coming up in the School´s social learning space OASIS. Interaction with the Social Flow takes place on the multitouch SUR40 table and the flow of social media content of SIS can be aggregated by placing microsoft tagged-object soft cloth-clouds onto the screen. Content is aggregated with RSS, hashtags and native interfaces employed by social media from Twitter, Flickr, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, blogs and news-sites. The use of the application is monitored with ip-camera placed above the multitouch table to study the interaction methods and implicit or deliberate learning styles people adopt when using the Social Flow.
